Over water built units
Prefabworld Bali International has developed a special system and technique to have our models safely built over water, either in lakes or coastal waters. Our senior in-house Hydraulic engineer with 40 years of International experience under the belt will help and advise you on the required piling, piling depth and super structure. In order to safely determine the pile capacities one need to take into account the pile's end bearing capacity + negative or positive friction along the pile shaft. This will define the safe pile driving depth. Waves have minor influence on piles, however.this may be different when a hurricane strikes. We will prepare a wave propagatiion calculation to assess this.
NOTE: A number of wooden prefab manufacturers show houses built over water on their web sites. Such is true, however, none of these companies could design the over water sub-structure (piles, piling depth, capping beams, etc.), since they lacked the technical knowledge and needed to subcontract these design works to an external consultant or a contractor. Based on A and B above our company is well capable to design a fully integrated structure (the iling system and the houses) .
