Window-side shutters were commonly used in the Netherlands in the old days to protect the windows from flying debris when a storm occurred. The same system can nowadays be utilized as hurricane hathces to protect windows during cyclones, or just as a nice esthetical addition to your home
All of our shutters are made from properly kiln dried genuine tropical Camphor hardwood to any size and dimension. Different materials can be used as per the client's requirements such as Bangkirai, Teak, Mahogany, Meranti, Merbau, Nyatoh and Kempas.
Full wood shutters can also be used as hurricane shutters, provided Bangkirai is used and the thickness complies with the lcoal codes.
