The export of Ulin (Iron wood) is prohibited for all shapes and sizes. In addition the Government of Indonesia has imposed regulations as to the export of timber products (*) which exceed a certain size or shape. See below for an explanation
(*) This is only valid for single shipment volume of beams and/or boards, not for complete prefab houses or gazebos.
In the event that the sizes do not comply with the regulations set forth below, for instance larger sizes, it is still possible to export, provided an export tax is paid to a total of USD. 109 per cum. The USD. 109/m3 rate as per February 2019. Rates may vary depending on the conversion between the Indonesian Rupiah and US Dollar at the moment of purchase.
