Foundation advice and foundation drawings for our Bali Prefab Homes
Our Geotechnical engineer would be happy to advise you on the required type of foundation whether this is a shallow foundation, a piled foundation, a retaining wall foundation, a foundation on a slope or a foundation on weak soil. Our foundations are also designed and verified for uplift forces caused by cyclone wind in the event that a unit will be built in a cyclone prone area.
For complicated issues our engineer may ask for a copy of the soil investigation report along with the SPT graphs, bore logs and/or laboratory test results.
We will supply a set of foundation drawings showing footing locations, details, rebar drawings (*) and the type and number of Simpson anchors to be installed. We offer the foundation drawings free of charge, provided a fabrication order for the wooden house has materialized. Below we show a typical set of foundation drawings for a project using a shallow footing foundation.
(*) The preparation of rebar drawings depend on the local concrete codes. In the event that the IBC and ACI codes are permitted we may prepare the rebar drawings. To this end the client neds to issue a variation order to cover our engineering costs. In the event that the IBC and ACI codes are not permitetd, whereas local codes have to be applied, the client needs to engage a local engineer.

The size of the concrete footing depends on the strength and type of the subsoil (sand, gravel, coral, clay, hard or soft rock, weathered rock, sediments, or any combination thereof)
